One system on this site sets cookies. This page tells you which one, what it sets, for how long, and how to stop it.
The site's own measurement uses a random session id that lives only in your browser's memory. Close the tab or reload, and it's gone. The calculator keeps your answers on the page while you use it, not in a cookie. Nothing we wrote stores anything on your device.

Those durations are Google's defaults. The cookies help us see how many people visit and which pages they read. They load whether or not you do anything, and there is no banner asking first and no switch on the site to turn them off. We would rather tell you that plainly here than train you to click a button labeled Accept.
Any of these works, and the site runs exactly the same either way: turn on your browser's tracking protection (Safari and Firefox block these cookies out of the box), use a content blocker, or install Google's own opt-out browser add-on. Blocking Google's cookies does not affect the calculator, the verdict, or anything else here.
We don't run ads, we don't do ad targeting, and we don't sell what the cookies collect. No cookie on this site tells an insurance company anything. Whether you file a claim stays between you, the math, and your carrier.
